Common Questions
To access your CityPay wallet, you need to complete the registration and verification process. To register, provide a valid email address, create a secure password, and verify your email address by clicking the verification link. Once your email address has been verified, the verification process will begin through Identomat. As part of the process, you will need to provide a valid ID card or passport, complete a facial recognition procedure, and fill out the KYC questionnaire. Once the verification application has been successfully completed, it will be submitted to CityPay for review. You will receive a notification informing you of the status of your verification.
To top up your CityPay balance, select the desired GELX or USDX wallet and click the “Deposit” button. Enter the desired amount and click “Pay.” On the payment page, select Apple Pay or Google Pay and complete the payment process. The deposited amount in Georgian lari (GEL) or US dollars (USD) will be reflected in your balance as the corresponding stable token - GELX or USDX - at a fixed 1:1 exchange rate.
CityPay allows you to create a cryptocurrency wallet and use it to send and receive digital assets. To send or receive cryptocurrency, log in to your account and go to the “My Wallet” page. To send cryptocurrency, enter the amount and wallet address, and make sure you have sufficient funds in your wallet. Click “Send.” If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled, you will be required to enter a one-time password to complete the transaction.
To receive funds in your wallet, click “Receive to My Wallet.” Copy the wallet address and use it to receive the funds. Once the funds are received in your wallet, a notification will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
During the checkout process on an e-commerce website, select “Crypto” as your payment method. You will then be automatically redirected to the CityPay platform, where you need to enter your account details and connect your wallet. Next, select your preferred cryptocurrency and click “Continue.” The required payment amount will be automatically deducted from your cryptocurrency balance.
